Dred

Dred

DRED is composed of five musicians who are passionate about metal and are perfectionists when it comes to their playing.
Their take on death metal fuses aggressive riffing, melodic leads, brutal vocals and technical arrangements together with relentless precision to produce their own sound.
The band had its early beginnings in Sydney Australia during 2001, when two school friends Denis Vlachiotis and Michael Conti (Bass/Vocals) collaborated to write and assemble material for what would soon become DRED.

With Conti initially performing both bass and vocal duties, the band's music began to take shape. Combining attributes of thrash and death metal, they were to spend the next two years developing the band's direction, rehearsing, writing and refining their original material.

In late 2004, they met musician Mikhail Okrugin (Rhythm/Lead Guitar) and knew they had found someone who shared their passion. He joined the band and the nucleus of DRED was firmly established.

The search for a drummer proved to be more of a challenge. However, after a thorough search David Horgan was spotted competing in the final of a prestigious national drumming competition. Within a short time he took his place behind the drums for DRED.

Luckily the search for a vocalist was easier, as close friend of the band Evgeny Linnik agreed to join the band in late 2005. Evgeny's performance experience, powerful stage presence and unique vocal style complemented the band perfectly.

In late 2007, Denis chose to leave the band in order to pursue a solo career. He was replaced by Chris Jones (Rhythm/Lead Guitar), an extremely talented guitarist hailing from the Central Coast. Chris's tight playing and keen sense of melody make him a vital aspect of DRED's geometry.

After a busy year in 2007 with live shows to promoting the 'A Path To Extinction' EP, DRED have set their sites on producing a full length album. More information will be made available soon.

Sabretung

Sabretung

Beginning to form in early 2005 and self releasing their first EP 'The Price is Pain' in 2006, Sabretung are now preparing to record their first full length album.

Having supported Australian metal icons, such as Mortal Sin and The Amenta, Sabretung are poised to join these heavy weights through their ever expanding loyal fanbase, drawn in by the band's intense live performances, skull crushing riffs and neck snapping rhythms.
Proof of this has come from the band reaching the top 10 finalists in Newcastle Music Week's Resonate band competition in 2007.
The band has an instantly identifyable sound through the airy, yet edgy, texture of Doug's vocals, the unique kick laden fills from Ben, the finger twisting shreddage of Daniel and the full rich bass of Tyler.

For fans of Metallica, Slayer, Sepultura, Kreator, etc...

Doug Murray - Guitars/Vocals
Daniel McInnes - Guitars
Tyler Purvis - Bass
Ben Yates - Drums

Indisperse

Indisperse

Indisperse was formed in 2003 with a very different line-up to today. These line-up changes have only led to the band becoming stronger as a four-piece.

The drummer's stool belongs to Zac Swan who makes his presence known by strapping himself behind the kit, and pulling off power house beats that help identify Indisperse.

The job of rhythm guitars is done by Ryan Huthnance who has also filled the role of backup vocals and occasional lead guitars. It is Ryan's signature speed-riffs that will put the drop in your jaw.

The most recent addition to the band is bassist Tommy Bradstreet. Tommy came into the line-up after the band's one year period without a bassist.
Tommy came to an Indisperse gig in September 2006 to watch the guys play and was introduced to the band through a friend. After making friends with Tom instantly, it was time to see how he went with a bass in his grasp. Indisperse became a four-piece metal band again after seeing Tom play.

Josip Malkoc, the only original member, still stands front and centre with his role of lead guitars and lead vocals by producing solos and riffs to make hairs stand on end.

Since then, the guys have taken new influences and concepts into their playing and performing, writing songs with elements from all types of Metal and performing them live for their newfound fan base. After releasing a large amount of demo albums to fans in June 2007, the band hopes to see a bigger turnout in future gigs.

With a sound big enough to blow you into pieces and put the hair on your chest, along with a note accuracy sharp enough to cut through emo kid's wrists, Indisperse are a great Four-Piece metal band from the Hunter Valley looking to take on the world.

SoulTremor

Soultremor

SoulTremor originated in early-2007 as an unnamed, unknown idea brewing in the mind of guitarist / vocalist Matt Graham, who wished to form a metal band with its roots in old-school thrash music, but with a technical and progressive edge that was uncommon in the live scene.
He found a kinship in lead guitarist Rohan Macdonald, and together they started honing and crafting the music style that ran deep within them.
After nearly a year of endless and frustrating searching for quality musicians to suit the intensity and complexity of their desired sound they came across Matt Lloyd - drummer extraordinaire - who's love for metal and amazing ability helped solidify the line - up, and allowed them to take their music to the live scene.
SoulTremor are currently recording their debut EP, and continuing their search for a permanent bass player, so that they may destroy the eardrums of many more punters in the years to come!!
